【New】 2022-Technical Account Manager (US-Atlanta, Georgia, United States (Hybrid))

Position Summary

The Technical Account Manager will report to the Senior Management Level and will work as a key member of FIH’s Account Team to deliver products on time and with quality.

He/ She will be responsible for guiding products through the initial feature lock down through product testing and certification to product launch interfacing with both FIH internal teams and also with our customers’ technical teams and manage security patch and necessary maintenance releases till end of life.

This is a key technical role that ensures product success and continued partnership with the carriers.

 

Role and Responsibilities

· Ensure product success with on-time TA and launch with quality

· Translate US carriers’ requirements into product development process work streams for internal technical teams

· Submit carriers’ deliverables including compliance matrix lockdown, customer samples, test reports, certifications, issue tracking, waiver negotiation

· Host weekly review meetings with carriers’ teams and FIH engineers. Provide meeting minutes and clear action list with owners and due dates to push engineers’ responses till closure

· Collaborate closely with Account PM to sync up schedule, risks and recovery actions

· Ensure successful and smooth flow of the device through lab testing process by working with internal product engineers, QA engineers, carrier lab engineers and certification agencies

· Coordinate engineering team's resource, plan a competitive and feasible schedule

· Communicate with customers for implementation scope and delivery plan

· Manage risk, clarify potential gating issues with customers, and arrange contingency plan

· Monitor and audit each milestone, and ensure deliverables are all on-time

· Monitor quality issues and be instrumental in improving product features and performance.

· Maintain good relationship with customers’ key stack holders

 

Skills and Qualifications:

· Minimum 3 years’ experience with either a cellular device OEM/ODM or a telecom carrier

· Good understanding of smartphone/tablet, router, CPE, NB IoT and other mobile devices with 4G/5G network connectivity

· A solid understanding of carrier requirements and device approval processes to get product technically approved

· Passion for getting things done and proven experience in project management, working across teams and clients/customers

· Ability to manage multiple stakeholders in an international setting

· Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize multiple assignments and projects

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

· Excellent communication (written and verbal), presentation and organizational skills

· A Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science or another relevant field, Master's preferred

Position Summary(Work Location:Atlanta,Seattle and New Jersey )

The Product Manager will report to the senior management level and will work as a key member of FIH’s Account Team to strengthen product and portfolio collaboration.

He/She will be responsible for guiding products through the execution of the product life cycle of wireless devices (phones, tablets, mbb and wearables) supporting our US carrier accounts. You must possess a unique blend of product management, product marketing and technical savvy, with obsessive attention to detail without losing sight of user experience and value of our products.

This role will engage on new product technology development discussions, product introductions, and device launches, focusing on analyzing, positioning and tailoring the product to the market. Tasks typically includes functions associated in high-tech companies with Product Planning, Product Marketing and Product Management, with a focus on key carrier device portfolios.

You must be able to communicate effectively and convincingly with all areas of both internal and external customers’ organizations – technical and non-technical - using market data and detailed specifics about our products to ensure devices meet milestones and follows product requirements. You will work with marketing partners to help define the go-to-market strategy, helping them understand the product positioning, key benefits, and target customer.

You will also serve as the internal and external evangelist for our product offering working with the carrier customer and the sales channel while managing key relationships within Carrier Marketing and Product Organizations.

 

Role and Responsibilities

· Work with FIH account team to understand the Operators’ portfolio and device segmentation, and identify opportunities for FIH devices

· Manage the entire product life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities.

· Serve as the “go-to” person for product features and value proposition to all functions of FIH.

· Review customer requirements and work with UX and R&D teams to ensure product meets technical launch requirements.

· Own and drive all product management activities from product selection through product launch, including agreement with the Operator for ID, CMF, Wireframes, Customization Guide, Sales Box, In-Box collateral, labels, packaging, Feature Sheets, ringtones, wallpapers, boot up screen and launch materials

· Understand new technology and develop sell in strategy with supporting data.

· Identify risks and challenges of the project and work with various teams within and outside of the company to mitigate issues.

· Communicate project status across the organization.

· Review user manuals and documentation to maintain accuracy and consistency.

· Interact with FIH HQ, sales, marketing, operations and customer care personnel to develop and execute cohesive and comprehensive plans to satisfy carrier’s requirements and FIH’s product performance expectations.

· Monitor NPS and quality issues and be instrumental in improving product features, performance and GTM functions.

· Resolve all cross-functional issues and provides technical analysis in support to customer complaints.

· Own and drive all product management activities from product launch through end-of-life, including where appropriate, OS upgrades and MRs

· Demonstration and presentation of products and proposals to the Operator/Partner

· Perform ad hoc assignments as requested.

 

Skills and Qualifications:

· Passion for getting things done and executed and proven experience in project management, working across teams and clients/customers.

· Interest / experience in product marketing (i.e. approaching technology from user perspective, communicate value, etc.).

· Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Technology preferred, with 5-10 years of related experience.

· 3-years minimum experience with a major handset OEM as part of an account team selling to major USA Operators

· Experience in product development and/or technical project management required.

· Must be able to write, read, analyze, and interpreting wireless terminals technical documentation and have strong understanding of technology associated with the wireless terminal products.

· Mobile handset product marketing, product management, User Experience, ID & CMF

· Experience with software and applications that improve the usability of smart phones and mobile devices

· Strong presentation and demonstration skills

4. Work on issue analysis and verify the device software under field environment and network.

Skills and Qualifications
